Delete your data

PowaOn has no accounts. Your data is tied to your app install, your Telegram chat or your WhatsApp number. Choose whichever you use:
In the Android app
Open PowaOn → Privacy & legal → Delete my data → Delete. This removes your install ID, home area and every charger event your phone sent, straight away, and resets the app. Uninstalling alone does not delete data already sent.
Telegram
Send /stop to @PowaOnBot. Your chat ID, followed areas and settings are deleted.
Send STOP to the PowaOn WhatsApp number. Your number and followed areas are deleted.
By email (if you no longer have the app)
Write to [email protected] with the subject "Delete my PowaOn data". Include your install reference (the 8 characters shown in the app under Privacy & legal), your Telegram username, or your WhatsApp number, so we can find your data. We will confirm within one month.
What is deleted and what stays
- Deleted: your install ID, home area, charger events, terms acceptance, bot subscriptions and settings.
- Kept for up to 90 days, then deleted automatically: records of alerts already sent to your chat or number, so we can investigate delivery problems.
- Kept: combined statistics that cannot identify you (for example, how many hours an area had power last month).
